Alleged Fraudulant Transaction

On May 11 I had an auction end for a piece of EMS equipment. I received payment through paypal and the item was shipped.
On “JUNE the 9th I was informed by email that my account had a hold on it for the sum of money received for the EMS gear. Supposedly the funds were obtained by a FRAUDULANT MEANS before they were sent to me. If this is so why are my funds being held? Isn’t fraud a crime punishable in a court of law? Were the local police contacted. Since the transaction took place over state lines isn’t this a FBI case? This seems to be the PAYPAL M.O.
Side with the criminal. Birds of a feather, as far as I am concerned. I am currently looking for another alternative to paypal so I can continue to fund my retirement fund. I am fortunate I didn’t lose more than a few hundred dollars.
