Bogus Account Linked to my Account

I have been with paypal/ebay since 2001. Never had any issues. Now for the past year they have been harassing me about a bogus account that was made under my new email address. They have a negative balance on the account and paypal is coming after me for the money. I already have a paypal account in good standing. My sister got married back in April and i put all the tuxedo rentals on my credit card. She paid me back through paypal and when I went to transfer the money out of my account they locked it. They linked it to this bogus account and pretty much telling me too bad. So now I have a $500 credit card bill that I cant pay because my money that I was going to pay with is being hijacked. Someone hacked my gmail account and my bank account had fraudulent activity on it. Gmail contacted me and that issue was resolved, my bank sent me a new card and that was resolved. Why cant paypal resolve this.

Paypal won’t make the proper adjustments to your account simply because they don’t have to. They are large enough that they simply don’t need your business. Your bank and Gmail are sensible intuitions; paypal on the other hand is in a class of their own. Have they sent you correspondence on how to lift your ban or reinstate your account?

This is how paypal collect monies owed to them. They take an account with an outstanding balance that they have been unable to collect and then they “link” it to an account that has money in it hoping the person is just going to pay off the negative balance. It was probably PayPal that hacked in to your gmail account for all I know. I don’t trust paypal for a second. They took over $450 from me and I have never seen that money again. PayPal is filled with excuses and more excuses. My bank can’t take money from me, my credit card can’t take money from me but somehow PayPal can.
