DISABLED ROOFER HAS ACCOUNT FROZEN BY PAYPAL:
I had an accident in 2010 and by the time I had healed enough to get my thoughts together, I was deep in debt so I figured I would sell a few things on line. Ebay/Paypal. A few months go by, 400 quid to ebay, two hundred to paypal and I actually may have made a 100 for myself out of it all and then wham, bam. Account frozen. Something about 650 a year being the limit and of course, my 650 is sitting in their account, or my account that is frozen and I can’t access it. Also, they are reneging on payments that I set up through that account as well, which is costing me penalties. So at the end of the day, they have cost me over five hundred in fees, another two in penalties and theys still have my 650. I am not impressed and I am willing to join every suit against them that I can. Just get in touch with me and I will add my voice to yours…..cheers……:)

That really blows man! I am disabled myself (bad back from too many year of lifting heavy things) and I also got screwed from paypal for over 1k. Their whole system sucks and their fees are outrageous! Thankfully I found a merchant account with low fees and easy to use. http://www.merchantinc.com is where I went to apply and let me tell ya man this is the best move I have made. It has really helped me bring in some substantial extra money to help me out
paypal does not care who you are or what your situation is. all paypal cares about is how they are going to be able to make the most money off of you. and eBay is right behind them charging up a storm in fees. and then when you happen to have a few bucks in your account they are sure fast at limiting/holding/freezing your account so interest can be earned on your money. disgusting how big corporations like paypal and ebay haw lost all touch with their users.
I’m sorry to hear about your injury, it sounds like you are well on the road to recovery so I’m glad to see that. My thoughts on paypal aren’t positive ones at all. I use to use Ebay religiously to sell odds and ends but once they did that merger things went south FAST. I think your best bet is to look for a low cost merchant account solution. There are plenty of companies out there and several of them are ebay compatible.
