eBay deleted the bid item AFTER payment was made through PayPal

Bid and won an item at eBay. For unknown reasons eBay deleted the bid item AFTER payment was made through PayPal. I complained to eBay, PayPal and my credit card company. I also contacted the seller, who never replied. I proceeded to PayPal Resolution Center to ask for a refund, as eBay cancelled the bid item. After a few days PayPal responded that the seller is sending the bid item, with a tracking number. Two weeks after, I received a small envelop containing something that does not match the bid item. I complained again to PayPal, and today PayPal closed my case, saying that the seller has proof of shipment. Whatever that means, as it does not proof that the item shipped is the same as the item I paid for. So I just paid $125 for something of no value to me. If paypal bothered to do a real investigation they would easily see that the item shipped to me weight significantly less and would never have fit onto a small envelope or been able to ship for that price. But paypal does not investigate at all.

    I both buy and sell on ebay, a lot less now then what I used to. As a seller I definatl got ripped of way more then as a buyer but I had a few occasions where I didn’t receive the item I had paid for and in most of those I got my money back except for this one time where the seller was taunting me via email how he had ripped me off and when I showed them to ebay they said I could have written that myself.
