i’m really sorry again. i know my girlfriend mentioned few sellers did not reply with tracking so she made it a habit to call in paypal for protection. but it will automatically close it in once you entered the tracking and delivered.
PAYPAL NEEDS TO MAKE THIS RIGHT AND CLOSE THIS CASE BECAUSE IT IS NOT RIGHT OF PAYPAL TO DO THIS (ITS BEEN ONLY ONE DAY SINCE THE SALE) MY CONTRACT STATES Delivery: Estimated within 5-6 business days AND DOES NOT STATE ONE DAY SHIPPING AS YOU (PAYPAL) CAN SEE HIS GIRLFRIEND DID THIS AND NOT HIM SO THE CASE SHOULD NOT BE EVEN OPEN BECAUSE HE DID NOT DO THIS. HE BUYS THEN OPEN UP A CASES ON EBAYERS THAT WHAT HE SATES IN MY MESSAGE if this is the way paypal works on letting people open cases the next day on a sale? this is not good business for paypal!

Paypal charges 2.9% to the seller and if the buyer uses a debit card charges them as well.

I looked through my account and found that even if the buyer has a cash balance that covers the purchase, I am charged 2.9%.

If the buyer used a debit card, then they charge my 2.9% and the buyer is charged.

In other words, if we all put up $1000 in real money into a paypal account, simply transferring it from one to another would eat away at it even though the money is never really moved within paypal. Just ownership that they maintain is.

With my bank, I can transfer money to someone else who uses that bank, and no one pays a fee.

This is why I refuse to use paypal.

Oh, and the “requirement” to have my bank account linked? Not a chance.

Around 2 years ago my mom asked me to buy her some precious metals. I purchased some from ebay. I opened a paypal account for her and used a combination of ebay gift cards and checking account to pay for the item. Paypal put a hold on one of the payments and requested us to provide them with all SSN and ID’s and bills to make sure that it’s not a fraud. In the meanwhile, our funds were frozen on paypal. It took me about 2 months to get the cash (which was paid with checking account) out of paypal.

Unfortunately I couldn’t do anything to the gift cards ($550) that were registered with the paypal. I contacted them a million times and they told me that you cannot use those gift cards anywhere else but the paypal account that they are registered with. So I told them that the account is limited and I cannot do anything. So they just didn’t respond and told me that that money is gone. $550 is a lot of money, I still have a gift cards in my hand and when I log into the account it shows that there is a balance, but there is no way for us to get it out of there…What should I do? I really want to sue paypal for this and get my money out of there…Please help:(

Well, recently just created a paypal, and it was for Minecraft funding, but since my address was already located on another paypal account (Not mine or any family members, must have the misfortune moving in to an apartment previously occupied by a paypal user with a neg balance) they decided to lock my account, and thus go forward with calling me saying that the Paypal account they are linking to my account has a negative balance of 1800 dollars, and go forward trying to accuse it on me. (I go forward with telling them the account isn’t mine and it’s not.) Come to find out there was a few other people spoofing my IP address to log onto several Paypal accounts, and my account was further locked, not being able to access my legitement amount of 150$ which was going to be used towards an electric bill.

They still do not answer my calls, and do not even send back read-worthy emails whatsoever, and have linked my account to an account which is not mine whatsoever. They’ve also limited it, and even once I had sent in all the information they wanted me to send in, they did not lift the limit.

I got an email from PayPal saying my account had been restricted but they gave me no reason why so I contacted them asking what had I done wrong, Paypal replied saying I had to supply then dates, transaction No’s and names and addresses of the last 15 items and they wanted tracking numbers for all those transactions too. Problem was I didn’t have all the information as this dated back over 2 years, who keeps tracking info this long?!?

I did type up all the info I had on these transactions which took me hour and sent it to them, this was now 3 weeks past the suspension of my account. They did not contact me for weeks I had to chase them up and all they said was they needed ALL the info so I called them and told them I did not have this info and asked why, after being a paypal member since 2008 did they suddenly think I was some kind of crook, they just repeated that without the info they could not remove the restrictions on my account. I was so F’ing ANGRY by this point, I refused to get off the phone till they let me speak to a manager. Eventually they gave in and let me speak to a manager who after hearing my problem pressed a few buttons and pow my account was unlocked. It’s as if they limit your account for the sole purpose of F’ing with you. What angered me the most was the lack of information, to this day I have no idea why PayPal did what they did.

I then received a payment and tried to withdraw from the new Coinstar Paypal machine and it locked my account. I had to go through the telephone verification of getting the letter in the mail then entering the code. No problem did that part. I entered my business Tax ID for them also. At that point all check marks were green on the to do list. I still was frozen. I called and they stated they needed my personal social sec. #. Ridiculous, it is a business, an LLC that is why we have a company is to shield ourselves. They stated until I enter a personal social and get it verified my funds would be frozen and I could not use the account.

I am complaining about PayPal Europe. I held an account with PayPal since 2005 and I used this account for my eBay sales. I always followed PayPal’s rules and regulations on my eBay sales.
I applied for a service from PayPal for my private website on 24 April 2013 so I can take payments from customers on my website (PayPal payments pro UK).
PayPal sent me an email on 02 May 2013 (10.29am) to confirm that my application for payments pro uk is approved and then I received a call from (Brenda) PayPal representative to confirm that my application has been approved and if I need further help with setting up payments pro UK to my website.
I then received another email stating that my PayPal account is limited (restricted so I can’t withdraw funds), then another email from PayPal to say my application for payments pro UK is rejected and PayPal has closed my account.
I sent two emails on 2 May 2013 to PayPal to find out why my account has been closed but I never received a reply from them. I then called PayPal and spoke to Damian at PayPal customer service, he advised me that my account is in review and he could not do anything he advised me that he will ask another team in PayPal to review their decision and they will get back to me. I received a reply from PayPal on the same day advising me that my appeal is rejected (I don’t even know what I was appealing against).
I then called PayPal again on 03 May 2013 and a lady answer the phone and she advised me the same story as Damien and advised I will receive an email within 72 hours. I received an email from PayPal on 3 May 2013 to say that my appeal is rejected. I asked PayPal customer care representatives to explain me or give me the reason why my account is closed they did not give me any answer and kept saying that they can’t see any notes on their computer screens.
I linked all my eBay sales to PayPal and now I can’t sell any item on eBay as I do not have any merchant account. PayPal is holding all my balance (over £300) and they are not going to release my money for next 180 days.
I am under extreme stress and lost all my business on ebay.
I want full explanation from PayPal and I also demand that they should release my money as soon as possible.

For some unknown reason, Paypal put my account in Limited Status and has demanded 3 forms of identification, which I refused to submit. My account says they retrieved money paid to the ITunes Store for some albums I downloaded and my account has a positive balance. I contacted the ITunes store and they said no such thing ever happened and I changed my payment method to AMEX and there is no further problem there. I then tried to cancel my Paypal account and they will not cancel it because it is in limited status. I asked for the evidence they must have that I am not who I say I am and received no reply. I then told them I have no problem leaving the account in limbo but I want no further communication with them. I know this is risky because they have my bank account information but I just want to be rid of them.

PayPal is holding my money for unreasonable demands.
And accusing me that I was violated on eBay. Even I have more than 99% positive feedback on eBay and even I offered every one 100% refund and return acceptable.
eBay doesn’t want to tell me why they did suspended my account. So PayPal holding my money for 180days.

eBay and PayPal gave me life time sentence without communicate with me and without even give me warning notice. they already made a decision that I can’t use eBay or PayPal for my life time. Plus hold my money for 180days.
eBay and PayPal are not practicing what they advertise to their users.
Communication is the best way to sort out issues and problem. If eBay and PayPal doesn’t want to communicate with users about problem who can help us? And how they just attacking users with strong policy management with the name of health and trust.
I don’t understand what kind of bank policies the got to hold the money for 180 days.
I don’t understand what kind of justice is licence to accuse people without telling the reason.
Somehow they are called me as “criminal”. They put my address and name in bad place.
And said to me, that gonna stay for ever in the system. So they advice me not to open a new account. Including my family members who living in my address. Which county law is punishing my family for my mistakes or faults.
That is unfair. And shame on me and my family for rest of the life.

I’m very stressful about this matter. I’m on daily medications for my anxiety and depress. This situation making me more ill. And my doctor increased my daily pills now

I recently sold a laptop to a buyer on eBay for $1239. When the buyer received the item, he insisted that the item was damaged and was not working. He refused to take up the direct manufacturer warranty provided. He immediately filed a claim with PayPal. Throughout our communication to resolve the issue, he maintained a very aggressive stance without compromise. The most shocking was that he even stated that he would return an ‘empty box’ and hence be rewarded the refund from PayPal and be able to keep the laptop. I highlighted this to PayPal and provided screenshots of so and PayPal still sided in his favor. Two weeks later, sure enough, an empty box arrives. I take it up with PayPal and I receive the typical generic response that as long as the buyer provided tracking, there was nothing they could do.
What can I do in such a situation? How do I get my money back!?
