Default State Attorney General & Your Congressman

Hi Everyone:
Having just been locked out of my Paypal account with no notice on November 20, 2006 I have reached a point where I am ready to gather up as much information as I possibly can and take it to our State Attorney General and our Congressman.

Has anyone done this yet?
Has anyone contacted the National Security Exchange?
Does Paypal even fall under the Security Exchange Banking Laws?

I lost $493.36, not much comparied to some of the stories I have read. Being a single mom and living with a friend til I get back on my feet it might as well have been a 'million dollars'.

Literally it was all the money I had in the world. It was my grocery, gas, prescription and Christmas money all wrapped up in that account.

Yes, I know 'poor woman'.

'What is my recourse?'
I have jumped through the hoops for them.
They claimed to lock me out of my account because they needed to verify who I was?
For heavens sake they had all my WAMU banking information.

I did what they asked and now they say I am ***ociated with another Paypal user that has been suspended from Paypal????!!!

When does it end?

I would be curious to know about the
Attorney General and Congressman thing.
As I am gathering up all my ducks and this is what I plan on doing. I have already contacted
our local paper here in Pasadena California.
They said this was an article for the Los Angeles Times.

Would love to hear from somebody<*** ***="images/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" cl***="inline***" />

Regards,
L. Edwards.

I am going through the Attorney General. After reading the horror stories I really don't think that the Steve Carter's Attorney General Office (Indiana) will be able to do anything for me personally but I think they will start building and adding to an existing file. I wish you luck in pursuing Paypal through elected official channels. My fight is for $400.

I went through Attorney General of Nebraska and CA and received the same info from them. PayPal is holding my money for 6 months and then I can get it back. Gee thanks...

Paypal froze $2371 from me on Oct 22 and finally said I will get my money in 180 days. I contacted the AG in both CA and NE and the BBB in both places as well. The BBB is the only one to take any action. At least the contacted me by email to try to resolve the situation. I am also trying to file a claim in small claims so that I can also get a judgement. I think the best thing to do is to hit every government and consumer agency that might listen and file a complaint. Some might take action some might just log the complaint, but it has to be done. Paypal will not refund your money after you are limited and anyone who says otherwise is a Paypal shill. These people are thieves.
