PAYPAL PERPETUATES FRAUD AGAINST
FORMER ENRON EXECUTIVE AND WHISTLEBLOWER

Seattle, WA (December 11, 2006) - Former Enron Executive and whistleblower, Lynn Brewer, announced today that she has been the victim of identify fraud perpetuated by PayPal.

Brewer, who is a former Enron executive and author of "Confessions of an Enron Executive: A Whistleblower's Story", discovered on November 26, 2006, that nearly $1,300 had been illegally taken from her bank account due to a breach of security at PayPal. Upon notifying PayPal of the fraud in the early hours of November 27, 2006, Brewer was ***ured by PayPal, the matter would be investigated. After receiving an e-mail notification from PayPal on November 27 that the investigation had been "completed" identifying Brewer as a victim of fraud, PayPal proceeded to perpetuate the fraud on November 28, by "sweeping" Brewer's bank account illegally retrieving funds in excess of $850.00, with further attempts to "withdraw" an additional $500.00. Five days later, PayPal once again attempted to sweep Brewer's account for another $350.00.

Although Brewer's PayPal account was breached by thieves for the purpose of fraudulently purchasing legitimate technology services, Brewer says "PayPal's withdrawal of funds from my bank account, knowing fraud had been committed, perpetuated the crime. Furthermore, sellers on the other end of the transaction who unknowingly provided services to the thieves, were also victims of PayPal's failed policies when PayPal swept their accounts. PayPal "reversed" the charges and then swept my account for these fraudulently transactions not once but twice - illegally "retrieving" duplicate funds not only from the seller but from myself -- illegally taking funds in excess of $2,600 - resulting in PayPal "double-dipping" from both sides of transactions the company knew were fraudulent."

Brewer further states "I am just one of hundreds of victims of PayPal's failed polices and practices that perpetuate fraud. Anyone who reads the stories on ***.AboutPayPal.com, will quickly realize, PayPal is likely making millions of dollars in interest off funds they retrieve from the accounts of victims of fraud."

Brewer who is an advocate for victims of fraud since leaving Enron, has been in contact with cl*** action lawyers to pursue possible claims against PayPal. As Brewer states, "Having witnessed numerous instances of unethical and illegal acts at Enron, I'm not sure I see any difference between Enron and PayPal."

am a brick and mortar store owner. I have a store called Wholesale Denim and I am authorized to resale all products on my store. Some items I go direct with the manufacturer and some items I am buy from liquidators. Some items are instock and some are ordered. TYPICAL Business. But I wanted to expand my usage of accepting payments . So I signed up through Paypal and everything was going good until they limited my account. I was selling elmos that I had bought from FISHER PRICE and from the local stores. HELL I had a friend to ship more elmos from texas. Well that was not good enough for Paypal sending them the PO form proving I am authorized. They asked for more info. which was my LLC papers, my sales tax license and more.

They are trying to tie me to something that does not concern me. Stating I needed to PAY $488.99 to use there payment services.
So they ask for a police report. I faxed them a police report and they still have not lifted the limited account access. So I am a business owner and have alot of deliveries to give out. Most of them I had to cancel. Because I had to sell to the wholesalers to get my money back. But basically they still will not release the funds and now ECRATER.com has taken my website down I am guessing because of the customers complaining due to PAYPAL being the biggest MISTAKE I ever made!!!
IF any one would ask me for anything to show my BUSINESS license, Sales Tax License or my PO I can show it. LIMITING ME FROM GETTING THE ORDERS FILLED IN A TIMELY FASHION. ITS CHRISTMAS TIME AND THEY THINK OF THERE POCKETS!!
I AM CONCERNED FOR MY CUSTOMERS. I HAVE CALLED PAYPAL (6) times on the phone and (9) emails. Stating to release my customers money to them and cancel my paypal account.
