Default Help with legalities

Hey there im sorry to bother you but i have no-where else to turn, i recently wanted to upgrade my pc and decided to pay with paypal, upon purcashing i found that it'd defaulted to an echeck, but thats no problem i can just change that surely? wrong. I received no response from paypal about canceling the echeck, but thats finished with thats nothing compared to what comes next. I finally decide to wait for the 12 days it said in order to clear, and surely enough it cleared and my money went from my bank account and the transaction stated cleared. Three weeks on from being 'cleared' the payment has not been received by the company, and somewhere along the line 2500$ has gone missing, paypal wont answer my emails so the company im purchasing from helpfully ***isted me by contacting them. The story they are currently telling the company is that the payment is processing. and this was two weeks ago. Everyday i dont have a computer it is costing me to rent one in cafes. Can i take paypal to court, do i even have a case?
