Lue R beginning March 2008 the folling type of sellers will be required to offer ether paypal or credit card as a payment option in there listings

Lue R 1) seller with more then 5% buyer dissatisfaction in the last 30 days.or
2) seller with a feedback score of less then 100,or
3) sellers listing items in the following categories
gift certifictes, video games,cell phones,computers and consumer electronics .these categories have been solected because historically they have a higher rate of buyers dissatisfaction.

i understand how you feel if you are required to offer a safer payment option,you don't have to use paypal you may offer ether paypal or a credit card as a paymentmethod for your ebay listings/ please keep in mind that if you indicate that you will accept credit card payments you will be required to show evidence that you can accept such payments

besides paying with a us postal money order is far more safer then paypal will ever be for the buyer or seller if the check is bad the goverment goes after them for counterfit money if the items is not sent the postal service goes after them for mail fraud i can't belive that ebay don't know this

most items that are sold on ebay are from private sellers now they are forceing private sellers to join paypal and pay them a % of the sale also this is just wrong

Ebay customer support always says the same thing when you contact them "Thank you I'd be happy to help you with that". Well dammit I'd be happy if you could help me with anything. They are the most pathetic customer service team in the world. You can never call anyone for anything and when you need real help they can't help. For instance in your specific situation, as a long time customer of Ebay/Pay Pal, with many items to sell. They should have labeled you as a trustworthy seller and allowed you to accept any payment method that you preferred. However, the new yups at Ebay have decided that Money Orders and Checks are dangerous payment methods but Pay Pal is safe. Pay Pal has robbed more sellers than the fraudulent buyers who use their services to rob sellers. So lets be honest here: the real reason Pay Pal must be accepted as a payment method is to stuff the pockets of Ebay/Pay Pal and their investors. Also by the looks of the economy and the stock market their crappy policy changes is not going to give anyone any relief: neither the buyers, the sellers, or themselves and their wealthy investors. Someone should make it harder for Ebay/Pay Pal as they've made it harder for all of their sellers who are truly their customers. We need a m*** lawsuit, I checked out Welcome to LAWSUIT-LAWYERS.COM to find some help, but thats only a small step in submitting a m*** lawsuit. So, best of luck to all of those suffering at the hands of the Ebay/Pay Pal Monopoly.
