PayPal seem to condone fraud!
Hi There
On the 29th of January I apparently bidded for and won Toshiba laptop on eBay. I did not realise this until I checked my bank statement in March. It seems someone has hacked into my eBay account, set up a fake auction, bidded using my account, won and then paid for it using my PayPal account which they must also have hacked into. I've contacted eBay and PayPal countless times and just got standard emails back saying they have looked into it and can find no evidence of fraud. I have since done a whois search and found the culprit, but both the police and PayPal are not interested. I even have the fraudsters home address and mobile number, but they are not interested. I even have proof that someone hacked into my pc - my IT guy has the logs, but not the IP address. What a joke - PayPal are so difficult to contact(you just get told they will look into it again on the phone, but get the same email again and again)that I reckon they hope we will all just get fed up and give up. Well, I may not get may £500 back but I will make damn sure I tell all of my contacts about them and I'm currently seeing if the press want the story. I'll just cause them as much damage as I can verbally! B******s!
