First of all, let me give this advice to anyone who currently uses it. "Get your money out of there immediately!!" And close your account. I was lucky,,,They only got me for a little over $100 before I caught it and cut them off at the knees from my end of it. I was using paypal as a mechinism for conviently buying on Ebay. Thats all. I noticed the fraud in my bank account that was generated by paypal, and immediately called them. I got an asian woman on the phone who could barely speak a very broken form of english. I felt like I was ordering chinese takeout. She didn't even understand my problem, even though I described it as simply as I could. I told her to connect me with somebody that speaks english. She connected me with a person of middle eastern descent, who also spoke broken english with a thick indian accent. After a few minutes, I was able to establish with him that I had two recent charges to my bank account that were fraud. I was told that a 'third party' had evidently gotten hold of my paypal card number, and was using it. I told him that I wanted to close the account. I was told that I couldn't close the account I owed paypal $80.11. "You no can close account, when you owe money". I simply printed out my paypal account, and immediately went to a branch office of my bank where I proceeded to stop all transactions in my bank account from paypal and Ebay. I was lucky, I had an alternative method of cutting them off at the knees. Again, My advice to anyone who uses this 'service' to "Get Your Money Out of There!!!!) I cannot stress this strongly enough.
