I am a photographer and needed to send some work to a client in the USA. He suggested PayPal and I said okay as it was convenient to him.
I set up an account - just like everyone else here and was not warned of any restrictions that may be placed on the account. As soon as his money was deposited I was told I had to do FIVE things to un-freeze my account. I must link my bank account to them and give PayPal Direct Debit privileges. I must send a copy of my driving licence (or other photo ID). I must add a credit card to this PayPal account. I must add my bank card to this PayPal account. Finally I am directed to this page: (Image at end of post). Since I have never sent anything by post there is - as you can see,no way of confirming anything on this page. Nevertheless, until I confirm something (HOW???) they will ot even look at my account to review it. I just get apologetic emails like this saying: "Thank you for contacting PayPal in relation to PP-***-***-***. Upon reviewing your file, I see you have completed one step of the 5 requirements being asked by PayPal. M. *****, you have the option not to follow the required steps however please keep in mind that limitations on your account will not be lifted which we know will be inconvenient on your part. Kindly log in to your account, go to the 'Resolution Centre' and you will be able to see the steps that you need to do in order for us to lift the limitation on your PayPal account. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Maria Gracia PayPal Resolution Services" Basically they have my money and I can never get it from them. Am I the only person who is ready to commit unspeakable acts of savagery on anyone he meets who happens to mention that they work for PayPal? |
