Default PayPal brings on the Debt Collectors.

I recently went on eBay as my wife intended to buy me a Toshiba MP3 Player, I located a 'NEW' item and purchased it for £137+, after I had placed a bid I remembered that I was just in the throws of changing my bank and went into my PayPal account in order to replace my banking details with the new ones.
PayPals online system refused to accept my new bank details, said they were not being recognised. I am with a very well known UK high street bank. I Contacted the 'Help Line' now there's a paradox, anyway I spoke with this chap who asked me at some length how I put the details in, in the end he said to me that as I already had a Master Card that was on the PayPal system I would not be able to register it again. I explained that I was not going to register it again I just wanted to register my bank details. I was told by this person that I would have to go and get a new credit card in order to have it registered with PayPal.
I gave up. It was if the guy had a mind set, he seemed incapable of anything other than saying the same thing over and over.
I told him that if PayPal was not going to accept my new details then The were not to withdraw anyfunds from my closing account as that was exactly what it was, closing.
I sent them emails-and like all the experiences I've read, they never bother to communicate back, with the exception of the initial one repeating that they will but never do.
Long and the short is PayPal after being advised then warned they were not to take any monies out of my closing account did just that.
In between time I have the goods, they are not new because the seller had loaded hundreds of copyrighted music albums onto it, it came minus the ear piece etc, etc.
I contacted eBay, they told me that I had purchased it using PayPal so Paypal would have to deal with it, they didn't respond at all.
Though two weeks after it was purchased from the seller they made a removal of funds from my closing account. I had transfered all my D.D's away to my new bank no hassle.
I contacted my old bank who had started demanding the money that PayPal had removed in order to close the account, but I demanded that under the Direct Debit Mandate Guarantee they had to indemnify me against PayPals illegal action. They did, they got the money back from PayPal and the account was closed, but not the matter.
eBay says it cannot deal with my seller, PayPal will not say anything, but it has done something.
Last week my wife took a telephone call from some seriously agressive company (NCO Europe) who are debt collectors for PayPal. They left my wife in tears, I took the phone off of them and left them in no doubt that I would not be intimidated by them and pointed out they had already exceeded their powers by behaving the way they did.
PayPal has a duty a) to help me to change my bank details, and b) if a seller has misrepresented the items he has sold then afford me the protection they say PayPal affords everyone and get my money back from him , thus cancelling out my debt to them. Makes sense to me, but not to the PayPal gestapo.
I had no proof of the fact that the item I purchased was used and not New as described, so I wrote to the seller who also until that time proved uncooperative regarding replying and told him that PayPal was going to take me to court and I would be calling him as a witness who would have to swear under oath that the item was new. I had an eBay message yesterday saying that he hoped it wouldn't come to court but admitted that he had used it.
I have informed PayPal that whilst they may choose to employ debt collectors I am not legally under any obligation to respond to them and I have told them to take me to court, where I shall counter claim against them for damages and all costs.

I recently placed a listing on eBay but refused to accept PayPal as a method of payment, I slated PayPal on the listing, eBay removed it saying that I had Violated their policies by 'circumnavigating their fees'. I took them to task big time saying that they were being vindictive, and spiteful, they even used a spoof buyer to entrap me. Didn't work because I wouldn't do it anyway. I challenged them told them to send me the evidence to prove their accusations, they reinstated me with apology.

Think I'm joking, look at the listing if its still there.Read the bottom ebay apology to me.
