Default Primary Email Address

I have just had about a week of communications with PAYPAL after they had put a hold on two of my transactions that were purchases from our online store.

They requested via email that I send information regarding the orders, proof of delivery etc, etc. Well, I don't really like dealing with PAYPAL requests for info because it seems to be such a time consuming exercise and red tape that waists a lot of my time but I did so immediately.

Their reply was - we cannot deal with you because your email has not been sent from your account primary email address. To which I responded and said "Yes it is".

A few days later they reply with an email which in summary was, "no it's not". To which I getting quite frustrated at this point reply at length again but a summary is "yes it is".

At this point I login to my account and check my primary email address: which is of course the correct email address that I am emailing and replying to them from. Then I logged into my account and contacted them regarding a problem with my primary email address to which they replied stating what my primary email address was.

Yes, you guessed it: it was the exact email address that they were denying was my primary email address. So I then forward the response from PAYPAL to the other department of PAYPAL that were denying it.

Next day I get about 4 different PAYPAL emails from various departments. Two of them saying they cannot respond to my emails because it is not from my primary email address and another saying thank you for submitting your information and that one of the transactions in question has now been released.

I inform them that I no longer will be providing PAYPAL as a payment option from our online store because of their complete incompetence and failure to acknowledge that there is something wrong with their systems if they cannot work out what my email address is, even though they are sending emails to me directly to my primary email address.

I probably would reinstate PAYPAL as a payment option sometime in the future once I have got over this fiasco but I just wanted to empty my account so they were not profiting from my account and give them something to think about for a while.

If sales are not drastically down then I may decide not to reinstate them at our store anyway, so we'll see.
