They said someone tried unsuccessfully to hack my account so change my p***word etc which I did straight away. They've frozen access to my funds for many weeks since updating my information and it appears to me that they can do this with everyone. Will it go on for years? Is it a scam to freeze your money into their system?

My account has been restricted for nearly a month now. I've had about 50 emails from both international and compliance 'customer service'. I have replied at least that many times. It seems their reading comprehension is non-existent. The latest message tells me that if I choose to discontinue the resolution process, they'll hold my funds for 180 days to cover any costs involved.
?!?!?!?! This is the problem. They have me cl***ified as a non-profit, charity. They 'in their routine review' had questions about a few regular payments to me. They want me to explain my business relationship with someone who sends money occasionally, and the purpose of a payment I made (to my sister-in-law!) Here's the solution: I am NOT a charity. This isn't complex. I have asked numerous times (oh most politely!, and sometimes in big and bold), and they have NEVER recognized the simple point: Paypal has my cl***ification wrong; I am not a charity. I do not know how that happened, or when. I've been a customer since 2000 or so .... This is the stupidist situation I've ever had to deal with. Really don't know where to turn. Open to suggestions. I do not want an alternative, necessarily, but know how to get it through their thick heads that they have a (simple!) mistake on their hands, and if they CHANGE my CL***IFICATION, all will be well. No? thanks for the place to vent, I imagine I can kiss the money goodbye. Did anyone say ... Cl*** action? Vicktorya |
