On 7th November 2006 I received a receipt from paypal saying that $124.09 had been payed to a company called Galer Corp (I later discovered that the company is Itemgarden) I had never heard of this company let alone dealt with them. They had managed to get my p***word and had access to my account. I informed Paypal the same day and have waited to 20th November to get most of the money returned, I say most of because only $119 was put back in my account - the cheating b***ard's took the balance in "conversion and other charges" Just a sec, I was the poor sod who was robbed why should I have to pay charges to get what was mine back?, also are they going to prosecute Itemgarden? Somehow I doubt it. Are they going to review their security to prevent these people obtaining other people's p***words? - silence again.
I have cancelled my membership with them even though it will result in the loss of a lot of business I did through them. I am really disgusted with their "customer care" Just beware when dealing with them - This Can Happen To You |

I have just had money stolen from my Paypal account by this same company. I have never dealt with the company but apparently 'I' paid them £52 last night. I have always been careful to keep my p***word secret, and have never clicked a link on a 'phishing' email or even legit paypal emails so I have no idea how this has happened.
To say I'm angry is a big understatement! Jim |

December 27th, 2006 Galer corp got managed to charge $258.09 to my paypal account.
I can't believe paypal is still letting these fools get away with this! Why hasn't paypal frozen this account so that they cannot commit more fraud? I just hope I am as lucky as the other guy and get my money back. |

Galer Co has managed to steal over 4 and a half thousand dollars through my friend's paypal account over the past several months... We are still waiting to hear from paypal on how this issue will be resolved. She'd never even heard of the company, and had I not double checked her history they may very well have continued to steal from her. Anybody else had to deal wth "Galer Co"? Someone posted above about the company actually being ItemGarden, which I've found to be an online website that sells items for characters in video and computer games... Anyone have any more info on this scam?

I also have been charged $95.39 on my Amex card fraudulently by something called Galer Corp. The name Paypal was on the Amex bill but it is unclear how Paypal is involved.
Amex found that Galer Corp had all the information they were supposed to have about my card and so reinstated the charge. They gave me a number to call at Galer Corp: 402.935.7733 It turned out to be a number at PayPal! I am currently in phone mail hell there. |

I haven't used Paypal in two years. My account is inactive yet somehow "Paypal *Galer Corp" showed up on my business credit card for $91.
As with the other complaints here, I've never heard of the company and have no idea how they could have used my card. I have filed fraud reports with both Paypal and my credit card company. |

Same here! $99.39 to the Galer Corp on 11/28 at 1am in the morning according to my credit card company. I told them I was asleep at that time. They (the CC) said it would be removed from the statement and yet there it is.

1/15/07 I Just Happen To Look At My Account Today And Noticed That Galer Corp Had Tried To Deduct 243.29 From My Checking Account On 1/15/07 Through My Wifes Debit Card. I Called My Bank And Informed Them And Immediately Was Put In Touch With The Fraud People On Duty. The Terminated The Card And Told Me An Investigation Would Be Done. After This I Call Pay Pal Who Authorized The Deduction And They Informed Me That The Money Was Put Back Into My Account 4 Hrs After It Was Deducted.so All Is Well! What I Was Also Told Was That This Is An Online Gaming Service And That In Order For Anyone To Use This Service They Needed My Credit Card # And The Last 3 Digits On The Back Of The Card And That The Only Way A Person Could Get These Digits Was If My Wife Had Handed Them Over Or That The 3 Digits Were Compromised My Question Is To Anyone Who Has An Idea Is... If You Have Ever Been Asked For These Digits Online Or Elsewhere Could Someone Access Them And Use Them With Your Credit Card Fraudulently. The Person At Pay Pal Said That They Also Had The E Mail Address Of The Person Who Used The Card But Would Not Relinguish That Info To Me. By The Way , My Was Has Never Ad A Pay Pal Account...m9s8en

I too was defrauded by the Galer Corp. I sent email to PayPal and then called my credit card company. They are going to credit my account for the amount fraudulently charged and then asked me to destroy my card and they will give me another account number and new credit card. My advise is to contact credit card company right away as may take PayPal a while to rectify problem.

I was wondering if anyone has posted here has a family member or child that plays video games on the internet. I research fraud claims on credit cards and it appears that the merchant here is not the issue. It appears that they run a legit buisness that sells digital items for online video games. They are only accepting the credit cards through paypal because they have been provided with the cardmember's information through paypal. I see numerous accounts with this type of fraud in which digital products were bought for video games and I would say that 90% of the claims are a result of a family member or child taking the credit card and going online
