I signed up to PayPal and sold my mobile phone, worth £250. I sent the buyer an invoice and received an email saying that the transaction had been completed but they needed the Tracking number for confirmation of the item being sent, stupidly because I had used paypal in the past, trusted them and sent it.
I've been conned haven't i!? They then said they were experiencing problems all week and weren't able to transfer the funds, but now the buyer would have received the item. I've been in contact with these email addresses - they kept saying hte money was safe and once there technical faults were resolved, they're be able to transfer the money - but now they wont reply and I still haven't received my money. How do i sort this out?? This is the first email i received, which looks genuine - ****Paypal Payment Confirmation*******ž From: PAY SECURE (paypal_onlinesecure@mail2Consultant.com) Sent: 02 October 2007 19:19:14 To: roxylife86@hotmail.co.uk To safely and securely access the PayPal website or your account, open a new web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer or Netscape) and type in the PayPal URL (****s://***.paypal.com/row/) to be sure you are on the real PayPal site. Yep, I've just gotten one of these and it definately seems like a scam, they paid extra £45 for shipping to Nigeria but the issue with no payment until tracking number had been sent.
Don't fall for it. I'm not sending anything out. |
