Thursday morning, 5:00 a.m. 2/8, I checked my online banking statement as I fastidiously do daily. To my surprise, there was a Pay Pal debit of $1435.00. I logged into my Pal Pay account and noticed that someone by the name (fictitious?) of Benjamin Seides, was paid this amount, for what - I don't know. My p***word and i.d. must have been stolen. I attempted to use the Dispute Resolution process, but had little info. to go by, after all how do you prove a negative? A transaction that I didn't do, in fact I was sleeping at the time.
The following message came back this morning from the Dispute Resolution center.. Dear Thomas Sullivan, PayPal has denied your unauthorized activity claim for the following transaction: ----------------------------------- Details of Disputed Transaction ----------------------------------- Transaction Date: Feb 6, 2007 Transaction Amount: -$1,439.00 USD Your Transaction ID: 2AW97099KA168021N Seller's Transaction ID: 83298331XB6018711 Case Number: PP-250-244-289 Seller's Name: Benjamin Seides Seller's Email: benjaminseides@gmail.com Now I am out this amount of money plus 132.00 in overdraft fees from my bank! |

This message is to Thomas Sullivan. My name is Benjamin Seides, and while I was googling myself at work (bored, clearly), I came across this message. I ***ure you that I am a real person and that I was as surprised as you to see that transaction to my account. I had nothing to do with it. Shortly after it posted to my account, it was removed from my account by some other party. I suspect my identity was stolen and I was used as a waypoint for holding your money or something like that. Shortly after this all transpired, my account access was locked off and I had to go through innumerable steps to get it restored. Have you had your money returned?
