I received an unpaid item complaint from a seller. I researched the item and found that the item showed up in my purchase history as paid. However, I couldn’t find a paypal transaction confirming it.
I contacted ebay customer support and explained the problem.
They told me that on April 1st they had problems with their software that processes transactions to Paypal.
As a result, all the items show up in my purchase history as paid. The seller is notified by ebay it was paid but no transaction ever got to Paypal.
ebay customer support said they would send the seller a message explaining why they didn’t get paid and they requested the seller to send me a manual invoice for the item.
I waited 48 hours but Ebay took no action.
I contacted Ebay again. Repeated my explanation and said they would contact the seller. Nothing happened.
Meanwhile, I have an unpaid item complaint hanging over me and I have a 100% feedback rating for 13 years.
I’m sure my story is not new but it has never happened to me before.
Oh, by the way Ebay never contacted any of their customers that day to notify them of the problem. You have to ask. At least they admitted it.Similar Complaints
