I paid but seller never got money
I received an unpaid item complaint from a seller. I researched the item and found that the item showed up in my purchase history as paid. However, I couldn’t find a paypal transaction confirming it.
I contacted ebay customer support and explained the problem.
They told me that on April 1st they had problems with their software that processes transactions to Paypal.
As a result, all the items show up in my purchase history as paid. The seller is notified by ebay it was paid but no transaction ever got to Paypal.
ebay customer support said they would send the seller a message explaining why they didn’t get paid and they requested the seller to send me a manual invoice for the item.
I waited 48 hours but Ebay took no action.
I contacted Ebay again. Repeated my explanation and said they would contact the seller. Nothing happened.
Meanwhile, I have an unpaid item complaint hanging over me and I have a 100% feedback rating for 13 years.
I’m sure my story is not new but it has never happened to me before.
Oh, by the way Ebay never contacted any of their customers that day to notify them of the problem. You have to ask. At least they admitted it.

Well isn’t that lovely? ebay fucks up and leaves you with negative feedback. And you gotta love their customer support that does nothing. They keep no record of conversations so every time you call you have to repeat your story again. Here they admit it is their fault but does nothing to rectify the problem. I have never had this happen to me but I have had plenty of my stuff given away for free by ebay and Paypal to scammers knowing how to work the system
That’s some BS if you ask me. They screwed up and yet everyone else gets penalize for it. Typical ebay/paypal crap. This is what makes me not buy or sell on Ebay anymore. someone always gets fucked and its alway someone other then Paypals fault
Thats so odd that the seller never got the money. Go figure it happened on April fools day; I guess you’re the joke in this situation lol. Chances are if you contacted them twice already and no resolution took place than this was placed on the back burner. Hope you weren’t intending on your 100% feedback to remain the same. Good luck.
