Paypal requested my SSN and then shut me down
I had a company where I purchased used product and sold it on ebay. Paypal suspended my account claiming that they needed some additional information which included my SSN, verification of address and copies of the invoices of where I purchased the products. I gave them all the information they needed including a copy of my business license and state tax license. After submitting all the information they just said thank you but we do not wish to do business with you and locked both my ebay and paypal accounts with over 4,000 dollars in it and stated that they would release the funds in 180 days. So now paypal has all my personal information but I no longer can use their service. I feel as if I was duped in to giving them my private information with them having no intentions to reinstate my account. I have tried contacting paypal and requested that all my personal information be deleted but so far I have not heard back from them at all.

You’ll never hear back from paypal so don’t sit around and wait for that. And Paypal will not delete any of your information so no need to waste time on that either. They keep all your information so if you ever try to open another paypal account they can shut that down as well. Just go with a reputable merchant service provider instead of dealing with the devils middle man.
