PayPal Tried to Steal

By Dean

Ok, I go through all the steps to setup my account. I setup bank account and credit card to confirm address. I am ready to go. Everything is fine for about a week, I haven’t made any purchases yet, but all of a sudden I start seeing drafts on my bank account. I contact my bank to stop transactions, but all I can do is freeze my account. I do. The bank even allowed me to open a new account. I’ve contacted paypal to tell them my account was hacked I keep getting the same response. The responses are as follows:

My first message to paypal:

I received a paypal popup-requesting password. I assumed, since at the time I was trying to log on, it was a new way of logging on. So I put in my password. Popup went away and I had access to my account. The moment I logged out, I didn’t have access to my account. The password had been changed. That was about 2 weeks ago. I started noticing unauthorized transactions on my bank account. So I went to my bank and had all transactions stopped. In addition, I have no access to my ebay account. All my passwords have been changed. All of my account info is compromised. The only transaction that I authorized using paypal was a balance transfer of $62.00. Which was in turn I used as a billpay.

Paypal response:

Thank you for contacting PayPal with your concern.

We have completed our investigation of your case and, as there is insufficient evidence in support of your claim, we have denied your Unauthorized account Use Claim.

I responded with this email:

To whom it may concern:

Unfortunately, because of your ineptitude, I was forced to close my bank account. Also, I will be changing my billing address on my credit card. Therefore you will not have access to it either. I told you, my account was hacked. You did not believe me. That is your problem now, not mine. My account was ruined because you were unable to protect it. Maybe you should read www.aboutpaypal.org, it could be educational.

I get this email in response:

We have completed our investigation of your case and, as there is insufficient evidence in support of your claim, we have denied your Unauthorized account Use Claim.

My question is this, are all there responses automated? It appears to be the case. And it appears their responses are all the same.

I have since changed my credit card billing address and I have a new bank account. I will no longer deal with paypal.
