I refuse to use PayPal on eBay
Until five years ago, I had a paypal account but had to close it for reasons I’m not going into. Soon after I closed my account, I learned that my details were used by someone in the States to buy an iPod.
Earlier this year, two buyers paid me but because I didn’t have enough money in the paypal balance (it’s my mum’s account that I use now) I was left out of pocket to the tune of £30. Not only that, but when I issued a refund via paypal, it cost me more than the item I was selling!
Last year, eBay were in trouble down under for dictating to people how they should pay; in other words, they don’t want buyers to pay by any other means than paypal because they own the fucking company.
I’ve had quite a few listings removed by eBay because I won’t accept paypal – they won’t be happy until they’ve bullied me into accepting only paypal. Well, the day will come when they land in the shit big time and paypal has to close down and when that day comes, I’ll be LAUGHING in the faces of those who swore by paypal but had their accounts closed.

omg I hate paypal so much you have no idea. I just sold my guitar on ebay (cuz I really needed the money, I loved that guitar), I shipped it to the buyer with tracking number it showed delivered, she claims she never got it and gets a refund 3 days later. I have PROOF it was delivered!!!! Nothing I can do about it is what paypal tells me. Oh yeah paypal nothing I can do about it? Think again! I am going to post all over the internet, plenty of complaint sites for paypal and I have all ready gotten a merchant account so I no longer have to use paypal on ebay! Ha!
I’m an ebay user for life but I refuse to work with paypal. I started with them when they were still wet behind the ears and they have shown NO LOAYTLY to me whatsoever. I still actively work with ebay through a merchant account. I had to open services with a gateway company and merchant bank but it was well worth the legwork.
I am working hard to spread the word on ebay/paypal they are a fucking monopolizing criminal duo of evil and they have successfully brainwashed the vast mass of the unwashed (read:public) into believing in using them and it sickens me!! We are a weak pathetic race of pansies when you get dwon to brass tacks!! I continually spread rebellion throughout ebay and paypal and I willnot stop until I see them BOTH go down the drain!! believe me the day is coming sooner then you might think!!
PayPal WILL REFUND YOUR BUYER, *AND* let them keep your item!
I can’t BELIEVE what they did to us. Buyer bought a work of my art for $1,138.00 and explained she’d planned to use if for her photography business. Two weeks later, she tried to return it, as it no longer served her needs. My auctions state “returns not accepted”. EBay NOR PayPal would have refunded her, BUT…then four months later, when we think it’s all over, SHE approached AmEX and got a $1,138.00 Charge-Back! NOW BUYER GETS TO KEEP ALL. PayPal is a big enough company to take on AmEx, but took the funds right from our account, leaving a negative balance. They say they’re advocating for us, but why then DID they deduct from US whilst ironing this out? SOMEONE NEEDS TO OPEN UP a *NEW* and Honorable alternative to eBay and PayPal-also owned by eBay! TELL EVERYONE! They JUST went on to mandate that members have NO LEGAL right to sue them! Let’s have a MASSIVE CLASS ACTION MOVEMENT to OUT the CORRUPTION in EBAY/PayPal
PAYPAL is an ANTI-GUN, ANTI-AMERICAN bunch of sandal wearing hippies. Buy a gun magazine using them and they can and will freeze your money and the person that sold it to you. BOYCOTT them and refuse to use them for anything.
