Had a guy email me for a truck I had for sale wanted to purchase it through PayPal never heard of PayPal so he sent me a link ask what I wanted for it he was ok with the price so we continued he said to send my email account that I used I did then he said he would take care of the shipping of the truck like he should but then sent me a email asking me to pay the carrier up front and he would put it in my account with the truck money wanted me to go through western union I said I wouldn’t but he already sent the money through supposivly never agreed to do so it seems like a scam and now Paypal is sending me a notice of a law suit. And I got another email from a girl wanting to do the same thing word for word is this ligit or a scam? don’t want to be worried about this please let me know! never agreed to putting the money up front. Like I said I had never heard about paypal before and now after having read through this site I feel like I know more then I ever wanted to know about Paypal. Why would anyone use paypal? I just hope that I have not been taken for a ride.

You are being scammed! Run!! This is a classic Paypal scam. The buyer probably said he is on a location where he does not have access to a phone which is why he can’t call you. Somehow he has an internet connection but no phone. I don’t think Paypal would send you an email about a lawsuit. It may be a phishing e-mail, an email made to look like it is from Paypal but it is really from the scammer.
Go to paypals website and contact the directly. Don’t click on any links in any e-mails you receive.
This is a classic scam!!! DO NOT fall for this. If they cant call you on the phone because they don’t have “phone service” then how the hell can they have internet?
