I recently tried to purchase masectomy bras and breast prosthesis from a company online. The company showed that I could purchase these items with my credit card or through paypal. I selected to use my credit card and not use paypal. However, when I attempted to complete my transaction I was prohibited from doing so because my husband has a paypal account in his name using our joint credit card. I was not able to purchase necesary medical products with my valid credit card. I was advised by Robert,a community support supervisor with paypal, that I could purchase my personal health items only if I used my husbands paypal account. I was denied the ability to purchase my own personal health products with my personal credit card.
I feel that Paypals practices are discriminatory and invaded my personal privacy.
