Added a bank account a month ago in the hopes of selling some items on eBay with the added benefit of becoming “verified” and removing spending benefits. Boy do I regret the day I did … My first transaction with PayPal, after adding the account, came just a couple of days ago and a few days later while doing a routine check of my ban account I was shocked to find that theres was a 30 dollar “Return Item Fee” on my statement. As it turns out when one adds a checking account to PayPal the bank account becomes the “default/preferred” source of funds. Doing some research, that lead me to here, I found that many people have been surprised by this.
